Not every bride wants a long veil, and not every wedding day is warm. This collection brings together our silk pieces for the shoulders and neckline: a bias-cut silk crepe bridal scarf, a silk mousseline shawl to wrap around you, and a sheer silk chiffon cape. All three are made by hand in our Paris atelier in natural white silk, with no synthetic blends.
Scarf, Shawl or Cape: What Is the Difference?
Silk bridal scarf
Long and narrow, about 100 inches by 9 inches (2.5 meters by 25 cm), cut on the bias in silk crepe. It has a matte, slightly opaque finish and holds a knot without slipping. Drape it over both shoulders, wrap it once around the neck, or tie it at the nape under an updo. It is the most minimal of the three and a modern alternative to a veil.
Silk bridal shawl
Promis is a wide wrap, about 55 by 79 inches (1.4 by 2 meters), in silk mousseline. It is cut long in front and shorter at the sides, and is meant to be wound around the shoulders or arms rather than worn as a train. It gives the most coverage and warmth of the three.
Silk chiffon bridal cape
Mirage is a single length of sheer silk chiffon, about 26 by 118 inches (68 cm by 3 meters), short in front and long behind. It settles over the shoulders like a cape and leaves the front of the gown fully visible. It can also be wrapped loosely around the arms or knotted softly at the neck.
Instead of a Veil, or With One
A scarf or cape can replace a veil entirely, bringing movement to your photographs without anything in your hair. Because they sit at the shoulders rather than on the head, they also work with a short veil or one of our birdcage veils. Covering the Shoulders
If you would like your shoulders covered for a church ceremony, or simply want warmth for an outdoor wedding or a cool evening, the Promis shawl gives the most coverage. The Mirage cape covers the shoulders while staying sheer, and the scarf adds a line of silk without covering much at all.

Yes. A long silk scarf draped over the shoulders or tied at the neck gives some of the movement of a veil without anything on the hair, which suits minimalist gowns and civil ceremonies especially well.

A cape rests on the shoulders and falls behind you, leaving the front of the dress open. A shawl is wider and is wrapped around the shoulders or arms, giving more coverage and warmth.
