A mantilla veil is the most traditional silhouette in bridal veils: a soft circular or rectangular piece with lace along its edge, worn flat against the head rather than gathered at a comb. Rooted in Spanish and French Catholic wedding tradition, it drapes over the hair and shoulders and frames the face with a continuous line of lace. Our mantilla veils are hand-finished in Paris with Calais lace, woven on Leavers looms in northern France.

Choosing between them
Avec Toi gives the lace real presence, with a wide floral border that stays visible from every angle. Mon Amour is lighter: a finer scalloped edge that softens the tulle and frames the face. Éternelle is different in construction. It is lace from crown to hem, with no tulle at the center, so it covers the hair fully and comes closest to the antique mantillas once passed down through families.

Frequently asked questions
What lengths are your mantilla veils?
Avec Toi and Mon Amour are cathedral length, 138 in (3.5 m) long and 87 in (2.2 m) wide. Éternelle is also cathedral length, 98 in (2.5 m) long. If you need a different length, we can make a custom mantilla for you: get in touch.
How is the comb attached?
Each mantilla has a comb sewn in at the top: a silver comb on Avec Toi and Mon Amour, a clear comb on Éternelle. Slide it into your hair and add two or three bobby pins under the lace for extra hold. If you would prefer another attachment, we can adapt it to your hairstyle.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed within 1 to 4 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Once your veil ships, you receive a tracking number by email. International deliveries can take up to 12 business days, depending on the destination and customs.
Do you ship outside France?
Yes. We ship from our Paris atelier across Europe and to the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and many other countries. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Customs duties or import taxes, where they apply, are paid by the customer.
How is a mantilla different from other wedding veils?
Most veils are tulle gathered at a comb, often in layers. Our mantillas are worn as a single layer with no blusher, with lace along the whole edge or, for Éternelle, across the whole veil.
Can I wear a mantilla for a church wedding?
Yes. It is traditionally worn for church ceremonies, and covering the hair with lace remains common at the Traditional Latin Mass. Requirements vary from one church to another, so check with your priest or parish.
Which mantilla goes with a lace dress?
Mon Amour, whose finer 6 inch edge keeps the balance with gowns that already carry lace, beading or embroidery. Avec Toi shines with simpler gowns.
What is the difference between a lace-edged and a full lace mantilla?
Avec Toi and Mon Amour are fine tulle with a lace border, so your hair and gown show through the center. Éternelle is lace from crown to hem, with no tulle at the center.
