A Chapel-Length Silk Chiffon Wedding Veil
Aurore is a chapel-length silk chiffon wedding veil: a single sheer layer of silk, 250 cm (98 in) long and 140 cm (55 in) wide, gathered onto a 5 cm silver-plated comb. No blusher, no lace, no trim. Just a rounded edge that falls softly behind you.
It is made for brides who want a veil that feels light and moves with them, rather than the structured volume of tulle. Silk chiffon hangs close to the body, lifts when you walk or when there is a breeze, and lets the back of your gown show through the fabric.
How to Wear It
Slide the comb in at the crown for a fuller fall, or place it under a low chignon so the silk starts below the hair. At 250 cm, the veil reaches past the floor and forms a soft train: for a bride around 1.65 m (5'5"), roughly 1 m (3 ft) of silk rests on the ground behind the gown.
Which Dresses It Works With
Because the veil carries no embellishment, it does not compete with the dress. It suits minimalist crepe and satin gowns, open-back designs (the sheer silk keeps the back visible), and lace dresses, where the plain silk lets the lace pattern show through. It works for church ceremonies as well as civil and outdoor weddings.
Why Silk Chiffon
Most chiffon veils on the market are polyester. Real silk chiffon is lighter on the hair, softer against the skin, and moves more slowly and fluidly when you walk. It photographs with a matte, natural sheen instead of the slight shine of synthetic fabric.
Tulle holds air and creates volume around the head and shoulders. Silk chiffon does the opposite: it falls straight and close, so your silhouette and the details of your gown stay visible. The silk is left in its natural undyed white, the same as our Mirage bridal cape, and each veil is cut, finished and mounted on its comb by hand in our Paris atelier.

Silk chiffon is woven from fine, tightly twisted silk threads, which gives it its sheer, slightly textured hand and its fluid drape. Compared with polyester chiffon, it has a soft natural sheen instead of a synthetic shine, falls with more weight and moves slowly when you walk. It photographs softly in daylight as well as in warm indoor lighting, without the slightly plastic look synthetic veils can have in pictures.
This veil is cut from 100% natural silk chiffon, left undyed in its natural white, the same silk as our Mirage bridal cape. It measures 250 cm (98 in) long and 140 cm (55 in) wide, with a rounded edge, and is gathered by hand onto a 5 cm silver-plated comb in our Paris atelier. Silk creases when folded: hang the veil a few days before the wedding and steam it on a low setting from a distance.

Will the natural white silk match my wedding dress? The silk is left undyed, a soft white rather than a bright optical white. It sits well with white, off-white and ivory gowns. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your dress and we will advise you before you order.
Does silk chiffon have volume like a tulle veil? No. Silk chiffon drapes close to the body instead of standing away from it. Choose it for movement and softness; if you want a veil with volume around the head and shoulders, a tulle veil is a better fit.
How long will the veil look on me? At 250 cm (98 in), the veil reaches past the floor and forms a soft train. For a bride around 1.65 m (5'5"), roughly 1 m (3 ft) of silk rests on the ground behind the gown, a little more if the comb is placed under a low bun.
Will it stay in place? The 5 cm comb holds well in a bun, a chignon or half-up hair. For loose hair, your hairstylist can anchor it with two bobby pins crossed over the comb. Silk chiffon is light, so the veil does not pull on the hair.
Does silk crease? Yes, silk chiffon creases when folded. Hang it a few days before the wedding and steam it on a low setting from a distance. The creases release quickly. Do not iron the silk directly.
Can I dance in it? Many brides wear it for the ceremony and photographs, then remove it for the evening. The comb slides out in seconds without undoing the hairstyle.
What if I need to return or exchange it? Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of receiving your order. See our Refund Policy for full details.
